At Least 1 Hospitalized after Highway 58 Crash near H Street in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California (August 8, 2022) – Authorities on Monday afternoon responded to the scene of a major injury crash that happened on Highway 58 in Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck transpired at about 4:20 p.m. in the westbound lanes near H Street.
A Chrysler PT Cruiser and a white truck were involved in the accident, blocking traffic lanes.
At least one person was taken to a hospital with major injuries, the report said.
It remained unclear what factors contributed to the collision, but an investigation is ongoing.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, 1,159 lives were lost throughout California in drunk driving related traffic collisions.
