Ali Shabazz Killed in Fresno County Accident on California and San Diego Avenues
Fresno County, California (August 9, 2022) – The Caltrans employee who was among two people killed in a traffic collision just before midnight on Sunday near Mendota has been identified as Ali Shabazz, 48, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck took place on August 7 at California and San Diego avenues.
According to CHP, Marquis Pratcher, 25, was driving a Nissan Altima north on San Diego Avenue when, for unknown reasons, he failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and crashed into the driver's side of a Caltrans truck driven by Shabazz.
Both drivers were killed in the accident.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the deadly crash.
