33-Year-Old Jenny Faulkner Killed in Merced County Accident on Santa Fe Drive near Franklin Road

Merced County, California (August 10, 2022) – 33-year-old Jenny Faulkner, of Merced, was one of three people who died in a head-on collision on Santa Fe Drive in Merced County Sunday morning, according to the Merced County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
The crash was reported shortly before 6 a.m. on August 7, west of Franklin Road.
The California Highway Patrol said 33-year-old David Faulkner, of Merced, was driving a Jeep Patriot westbound on Santa Fe Drive when the vehicle drifted onto the eastbound side and collided with an eastbound Nissan Rogue driven by 38-year-old Amandeep Toor, of Atwater.
Jenny was a passenger in the Jeep and died in the collision.
Both drivers were also killed in the incident.
DUI is suspected to be a factor in the accident, authorities said. The investigation is ongoing.

Merced, California (August 7, 2022) – Three people died Sunday morning when two vehicles collided head-on on Santa Fe Avenue, authorities said.
A Nissan Rogue and a Jeep Patriot were involved in the collision at about 5:55 a.m. near Franklin Road.
Police said a 34-year-old Merced man was driving the Jeep westbound at an unknown speed with a 34-year-old female passenger. At the same time, a 38-year-old Turlock man was driving the Nissan eastbound at an unknown speed.
Authorities said, for unknown reasons, the Jeep veered into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with the Nissan.
Responding emergency personnel pronounced all three dead at the scene. The report said the woman was seated in the rear seat and was not wearing her seatbelt.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
