Three Hurt in Highway 101 Accident near Leggett

Leggett, California (August 13, 2022) – Three people were injured in a traffic collision near Leggett on Friday evening, according to a report by the authorities.
The incident took place on Highway 101 at mile marker 95.7 just before 7:15 p.m. on August 12.
According to the incident, two vehicles were involved in the collision. One of the vehicles came to a rest on its top off the roadway while the second stopped in the middle of the road blocking lanes.
Patients had to be extricated and a girl sustained a partial amputation to her right leg.
Reach airlifted one patient to Redding for treatment. One other party was airlifted while a third patient was transported by ambulance.
Authorities said at least one person had major injuries in the incident.
Lanes were blocked as authorities worked to clear the scene.
An investigation to determine the cause of th collision is ongoing.
