2 Injured in Ukiah Car Accident on Highway 101

, California (August 15, 2022) – Two people were seriously injured in a traffic collision that happened on Monday morning in Ukiah.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 6:20 a.m. on Highway 101, between Ukiah and Hopland.

A is reported to have collided with a big rig on the roadway in unclear circumstances. A third vehicle reportedly struck a bridge near the collision.

The big rig was loaded with 50,000 pounds of cement and lost four of its five axels.

Two patients were seriously injured in the accident and were airlifted to Ukiah Valley Adventist Health Hospital for treatment.

No additional information about the accident was not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.

  • Parents should teach the children walking or riding to and from school how to cross the road safely such as looking both ways before crossing the street, crossing at marked crosswalks, using available sidewalks.
