, California (August 16, 2022) – 14-year-old Leigh Biakanja of Valley, has been identified as one of  four family members who died when the Tesla they were riding in collided head-on with a tractor-trailer Sunday night in Hollister, according to a local news source.

At around 8:05 p.m. on August 14, Leigh's mother Lisa Biakanja, 55, of Carmel Valley, was driving the Tesla eastbound on Highway 156 when she swerved into the westbound side near Fairview Road collided head-on with an oncoming big rig.

Leigh, her twin sister, Lucy Biakanja, 14, and brother, Ben Biakanja, 12, were passengers in the Tesla.

All four parties in the Tesla were killed in the accident.

The CHP is investigating the accident.

Hollister, California (August 15, 2022) – At least one person died in a Sunday night Highway 156 crash involving a big rig and a sedan in Hollister, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The collision took place at about 8:05 p.m. just east of San Felipe Road.

CHP said for reasons yet to be determined, a white sedan collided with a white semi- with a white trailer, blocking traffic lanes.

Responding firefighters and paramedics said one person died in the crash.

Traffic flow was affected in the area due to road closures as authorities investigated.
