Girl Dies in Irvine Car Accident Involving Amazon Delivery Van on Estancia
Irvine, California (August 17, 2022) – A 23-month-old girl was hit and killed by an Amazon delivery van Tuesday afternoon in an apartment complex in Irvine, according to authorities.
The accident took place at about 3:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Estancia near Lower Peters Canyon.
The Irvine Police Department and the Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene.
An initial investigation revealed that the toddler was struck by the van in the parking lot at the block. The vehicle is operated by a third-party contractor, as per the report.
The girl was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
An investigation into the accident is in progress.
