Lake Casitas, California (August 18, 2022) – Nicholas Ryan Cooper, 38, of , has been identified as the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a vehicle west of Lake Casitas on Tuesday afternoon, according to the authorities.

The incident happened at around 2:35 p.m. on August 16, on Highway 150.

Authorities said Cooper was riding a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja eastbound on the highway when he drifted across the double-yellow lines west of Rameli Ranch and collided with a westbound 2022 Mazda CX-9 SUV driven by a 30-year-old Carpinteria woman.

Cooper was airlifted to County Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The other motorist sustained cuts to her feet.

Lanes on the highway were closed as authorities worked to clear the scene.

The CHP is conducting an investigation into the incident.

Ventura, California (August 16, 2022) – One person was killed in a that happened on Tuesday afternoon in Ventura.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 150 near Rameli Ranch Road at around 2:37 p.m.

A motorcycle is reported to have collided with a Mazda CX9 for unknown reasons. The Ventura County Fire Department responded to the scene.

One person was killed in the crash.

The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.

No additional information about the accident was provided.
