1 Hospitalized After Oakland Car Accident on 580 Freeway near 14th Avenue
Oakland, California (August 27, 2022) – One person was hospitalized after a car accident on Thursday afternoon in Oakland, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 12:28 p.m. on August 25, on 580 Freeway near 14th Avenue.
Per the CHP officials, three vehicles collided for reasons yet to be determined. One of the cars flipped over following the collision.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and attended to at least one person injured in the accident. The patient was transported to the Highland Hospital in Oakland.
The vehicles were blocking lanes 4 and 5 following the accident. The lanes were cleared as of 1:34 p.m.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
No further details regarding this incident were released.
