1 Person Killed, 4 Hospitalized after Newark Crash on Cherry Street near Mowry Avenue
Newark, California (August 28, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday morning three-vehicle accident that killed one person and injured four other people in Newark.
The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m., on August 27, on Cherry Street near Mowry Avenue.
According to the officials, three vehicles collided on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
Sadly, the driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another driver was hospitalized with major, but not life-threatening, injuries. The third driver and passengers were transported to a local hospital for observation.
Speed and alcohol were suspected of having played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
