Shane Rivera Killed in Santa Clarita Accident on San Francisquito Canyon Road
Santa Clarita, California (August 29, 2022) – Shane Rivera, 41, was among three people killed in a traffic collision in Santa Clarita on Sunday afternoon, according to the coroner's office.
The incident took place at about 4:10 p.m. on August 28, at 29889 San Francisquito Canyon Road.
Details on what led up to the accident and the number of vehicles involved were not immediately released.
Rivera and two other parties were killed in the collision.
Two other parties were injured. There was no update on the extent of injuries sustained in the incident.

Santa Clarita, California (August 28, 2022) – Two people died, and two others were hospitalized with critical injuries after a Sunday afternoon Santa Clarita crash involving two vehicles, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.
The incident took place at about 4:11 p.m. on San Francisquito Canyon Road at Riverview Road.
A white BMW and an older blue SUV collided head-on for unknown reasons. The BMW caught fire, but responding firefighters put it out shortly after arrival.
Three people were pronounced dead on arrival. Two others sustained critical injuries, and an air ambulance was dispatched to provide medical transportation.
San Francisquito Canyon Road was closed in both directions for several hours following the collision.
