Injuries Sustained in Vacaville Crash on Interstate 80 near Davis Street
Vacaville, California (August 29, 2022) – Injuries were reported when a big rig ferrying tomatoes and several other vehicles were involved in a collision Monday morning in Vacaville, as per a local news source.
The pileup took place at around 5:04 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 80 near Davis Street.
The tractor-trailer's load of tomatoes spilled into the road when it overturned onto its side in traffic lanes.
Responding emergency personnel said only minor injuries were reported.
The Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes of eastbound I-80 and the No. 1 lane of westbound I-80 were closed to allow an investigation and the scene to be cleared. The closure caused a major traffic backup.
