Minor Injuries Sustained in Oakland Motorcycle Accident on 580 Freeway near MacArthur Boulevard On-Ramp
Oakland, California (August 31, 2022) – Minor injuries were sustained in a multi-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle that happened Wednesday morning in Oakland, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident was reported at about 8:45 a.m. on westbound 580 Freeway, just west of the MacArthur Boulevard on-ramp.
Reportedly, the door of a sedan was popping open when a motorcyclist crashed into it and went down. A third vehicle was also involved in the collision.
Emergency personnel said only minor injuries were sustained in the collision.
The Nos. 1 and 2 lanes were temporarily blocked following the collision.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
