At Least 1 Injured in Vista Car Accident on 15 Freeway and Gopher Canyon Road
Vista, California (September 1, 2022) – At least one person suffered minor injuries following a fiery semi-truck collision in Vista, San Diego.
According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, the crash happened at about 3:30 a.m. on 15 Freeway, south of Gopher Canyon Road.
Per the report, a semi-truck and another vehicle collided for unknown reasons. The two cars caught fire following the accident.
Responding firefighters and medical personnel attended to at least one person injured in the accident. The injured party's name and condition at this time were not provided.
Authorities blocked lanes 3 and 4 following the collision. All lanes were re-opened at around 4:23 a.m.
No other information regarding the fiery crash was released.
The incident remains under investigation.
