1 Injured in Irvine Car Accident on 405 Freeway and University Drive
Irvine, California (September 2, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a minor injury crash that injured one person on Thursday afternoon in Irvine.
According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, five vehicles collided for reasons yet to be determined.
Emergency crews responded to the accident a while after 3:50 p.m. on September 1, on southbound 405 Freeway, just north of University Drive.
The crew and medics attended to one individual with minor injuries due to the collision. The name of the patient was not immediately unrevealed.
A SigAlert was issued for 45 minutes closing the lanes. The roadway was cleared at 5:26 p.m.
One of the vehicles overturned on its roof following the accident. Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the accident scene.
