, California (September 2, 2022) – April Fagan, 59, has been identified by the coroner's office as the woman who was killed in a collision involving a big rig on Thursday afternoon in .

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened in the area of Sierra Highway and West Avenue N, near Palmdale Airport at around 2:20 p.m.

The woman was driving a sedan when she crashed into the rear of a big rig.

April, a resident of Mojave, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another person was transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

More details about the accident were not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
