County, California (September 10, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday afternoon nine-vehicle accident that left at least two people seriously injured in Orange County.

The multi-vehicle accident occurred shortly after noon at Alicia Parkway and Jeronimo Road intersection.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's, it appeared seven vehicles were involved initially, but that number was increased to nine around 2 p.m.

The factors that contributed to the accident were not immediately available.

At least two people were seriously injured in the accident.

Westbound Alicia Parkway at Jeronimo Parkway and southbound Jeronimo Parkway to Acero remained closed at 3:00 p.m as the Sheriff's major accident reconstruction team worked to investigate the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
