Man Dies in Pomona Train Accident on Palomares Street near First Street
Pomona, California (September 11, 2022) – A man was killed in a crash involving a train in Pomona early Sunday morning, according to the authorities.
The incident took place just after 2 a.m. on Palomares Street north of First Street.
According to the report, a sedan was broadsided by a freight train in the area for undetermined reasons.
The driver of the sedan was extricated by firefighters.
Authorities said the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash caused a closure of Palomares Street between Commercial and First streets as authorities investigated the incident.
The Pomona Police Department is investigating the crash.
