1 Seriously Injured in Car Accident on 80 Freeway near Toll Plaza in Oakland
Oakland, California (September 11, 2022) – One person was hospitalized with major injuries following a Sunday morning car crash that occurred in Oakland.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened on westbound 80 Freeway near Toll Plaza at around 4:26 a.m.
Two vehicles are reported to have collided head-on on the freeway. However, the authorities could not immediately establish the events leading up to the accident.
CHP says one person was seriously injured in the early morning crash and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
