, California (September 13, 2022) – Andres Jimenez, 21, of Denair, was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that took place in Hughson on Thursday afternoon, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner's Office.

The wreck happened on Whitmore Avenue, east of Waring Road at around 3:30 p.m. on September 8.

According to the report, Jimenez was driving a 2014 Nissan sedan eastbound on Whitmore Avenue when he drifted into the westbound side and collided with an oncoming 2006 Ford SUV driven by Avelino Araiza, 47, of La Grange.

The impact of the crash caused the Nissan to spin clockwise and it collided with a westbound 2014 Toyota sedan driven by Monica Acevedo, 47, of Hughson.

Jimenez was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and died at the site of the accident.

Acevedo was taken to Doctors Medical Center with major injuries.

Araiza was unhurt in the incident.

The CHP is conducting an investigation into the crash.

Hughson, California (September 9, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday afternoon three-vehicle that killed a 21-year-old Denair Man and left one other person seriously injured in Hughson.

The deadly accident occurred at about 3:31 p.m., on September 8, at Whitmore Avenue just of Waring Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2014 Nissan, driven by the Denair Man, was headed eastbound on Whitmore Avenue when it veered into the westbound lane, where it collided with a 2006 Ford driven by Avelino Araiza, 47 of La Grange.

As a result of the crash impact, the Nissan reportedly spun into the path of a Toyota behind the Ford. The Toyota struck the right side of the Nissan.

Sadly, the Denair man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota was seriously injured in the accident and was taken by ambulance to Doctors Medical Center. Araiza was not injured.

It was unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
