Madison Williams Arrested after Taft Car Accident on Old River Road and Taft Highway

, California (September 14, 2022) – Madison , 26, was arrested on suspicion of DUI after he crashed a vehicle into a house, injuring four family members early Wednesday morning in Taft, the California Highway Patrol said.

At around 12:30 a.m., authorities responded to the scene of the accident in the area of Old River Road and Taft Highway.

According to CHP, Williams was driving in the area when he crashed into a house under unclear circumstances. The house caught fire following the incident.

The County Fire Station 53 responded to the site of the accident and helped put out the fire.

Four family members, identified as Balwinder Joshan, 61, Princedeep Joshan, 25, Rajwinder Joshan, 25, and 21-month-old Rohundeep Joshan, were injured when a ceiling fell on them.

They were transported to hospital for treatment and Rohundeep had serious injuries including a fractured skull, broken arm, and other internal injuries.

Williams was also treated for minor injuries before being booked into the Kern County Jail on suspicion of DUI. 

The CHP is investigating the collision.
