Eight Hurt in Antelope Valley Accident on 170th Street West and Highway 138
Antelope Valley, California (September 17, 2022) – Several people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Antelope Valley on Saturday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident occurred at 170th Street West and Highway 138 just before 3:01 p.m.
CHP said an Audi was traveling southbound on 170th Street West when the driver failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a Dodge Town & Country minivan traveling east on Highway 138.
The minivan was carrying eight people at the time of the crash.
One person sustained critical injuries while four others were seriously hurt. The patients were flown to hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Two other parties were transported by ambulances with moderate injuries.
The driver of the Audi was also transported to a hospital by ambulance.
One other person involved in the accident was not injured.
The intersection was temporarily closed as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating to find out the cause of the collision.
