Ruben Razo Jr. Killed in San Jose Accident on Murphy and Ringwood Avenues
San Jose, California (September 18, 2022) – Ruben Razo Jr. died after he was involved in a bicycle collision with a vehicle in San Jose on September 11, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office.
The incident took place at about 9:49 p.m. on Murphy and Ringwood avenues.
Authorities said Razo Jr., was riding an electric bicycle eastbound on Murphy Avenue when he stopped at the intersection even though he had a green light.
He was then struck from behind by a Lexus sedan that was following him.
Authorities said Razo was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries but the medical examiner's office said that he died of complications due to the crash on Wednesday.
The driver of the sedan was uninjured in the accident.
An investigation into the deadly San Jose crash is ongoing.
