1 Injured in Mesa Head-On Collision on Loop 202 near Elliot Road
Mesa, Arizona (September 18, 2022) – One person was injured in a wrong-way car crash in the East Valley on Sunday morning.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the accident happened at around 4:15 a.m. on Loop 202 near Elliot Road.
The officers who arrived at the scene established that a vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway when it collided head-on with a commercial vehicle.
One person was injured in the crash and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
