1 Seriously Injured in Woodland Car Accident on 505 Freeway near 5 Freeway
Woodland, California (September 18, 2022) – One person was airlifted to the hospital after a traffic collision involving a semi-truck that happened Sunday afternoon in Woodland, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision took place at about 3:29 p.m. on northbound 505 Freeway, just south of 5 Freeway.
A gray Toyota Rav4 collided with a semi-truck under unclear circumstances.
Yolo County firefighters responded to the scene and requested a helicopter to airlift one person to the hospital. All northbound lanes of 505 Freeway were shut down for the air ambulance to land just north of the crash scene.
One patient was airlifted to an unknown hospital with serious injuries.
All lanes were reopened at 4:46 p.m.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
