, California (September 19, 2022) – 45-year-old Bly Dion Brown has been identified as the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision on Saturday night in west Bakersfield.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the accident happened at around 9 p.m. at the intersection Stockdale Highway and Coffee Road.

Brown, a Bakersfield resident, was riding a motorcycle when he failed to stop for a red light and collided with the car in the intersection.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car was not injured. She remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
