1 Dies, 2 Others Hospitalized after Crash on State Route 67 at Mussey Grade Road in Ramona
Ramona, California (September 19, 2022) – One person died, and two others were injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Monday afternoon in Ramona, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred at about 3:39 p.m. on northbound State Route 67 at Mussey Grade Road.
Witnesses said the accident involved a Toyota Prius and a Toyota pickup that overturned onto its roof.
Emergency crews transported three people to Palomar Medical Center via air and ground ambulances. One of the patients was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other two were being treated for minor and moderately serious injuries.
State Route 67 was shut down between Archie Moore and Dye roads causing traffic to back up for miles.
