James Gordon Dies after Gate 6 Road Accident in Mill Valley-Sausalito
Marin County, California (September 20, 2022) – James Charles Gordon, 63, of Sausalito, died after being involved in a bike vs pedestrian accident in the Mill Valley-Sausalito area in Marin County on August 31, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened on the pedestrian-bicycle path near Gate 6 Road at around 8:40 p.m.
Authorities said Gordon was walking in the area when he was struck and knocked to the ground by an electric bicycle rider.
Gordon was reportedly unconscious and unresponsive after he hit his head when he fell.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and attended to the injured pedestrian.
He was then transported to a hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment on September 6.
The Marin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
