County, Calif. – One person was killed in a head-on collision near Santa Paula on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened around 8:36 a.m. on Highway 126 near Boosey Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A black Honda Civic and a Ford F-150 pickup collided head-on in unclear circumstances. One person was trapped in the truck while two occupants were trapped in the sedan.

CHP reports that at least one person was killed in the accident.

The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
