Police said a 2019 white Ford van traveling north on Monterey was trying to turn into a parking lot when it collided with a northbound bicyclist

San Jose, Calif. – A bicyclist died days after being involved in a bicycle accident in San Jose on December 14.
According to the San Jose police, the incident took place on Monterey Highway and Alma Avenue at about 7:40 a.m.
Police said a 2019 white Ford van traveling north on Monterey was trying to turn into a parking lot when it collided with a northbound bicyclist.
The bicyclist lost control and slammed into a fire hydrant.
The rider was taken to a hospital, where he died on Tuesday.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The investigation is ongoing.
