A 1-year-old boy and two other people were injured in the crash
Gilroy, Calif. – Three people, including a 1-year-old boy, were injured and hospitalized following a crash that claimed the life of one driver on Highway 152 near Gilroy, according to a police report.
According to the CHP, an eastbound 2010 Chrysler crossed over the solid double yellow lines of the highway into the westbound lanes at an unknown speed and collided with an oncoming 2018 Audi.
The Chrysler overturned upon the impact, landed on its roof, and caught fire. First responders were unable to extricate the driver. The driver died at the crash scene.
The driver of the Audi and his two passengers, including a 1-year-old boy, were injured in the crash. Two adults – aged 30 and 36 years, sustained moderate injuries. The toddler sustained minor injuries. All three patients were taken to Valley Medical Center.
The incident remains under investigation.
Hollister, Calif. – One person was killed in a car crash early Friday morning in Hollister.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 152 near Lovers Lane at around 1:36 a.m.
A gray van and a sedan were involved in the collision. However, the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
At least one person was killed in the accident.
The name of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
