, Calif. – Two people were Injured in a two-vehicle collision on Saturday afternoon in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on Marconi Avenue and Wright Street at about 3:14 p.m.

A car was traveling eastbound on Marconi Ave when it failed to stop for a red light and crashed into another vehicle that was making a left turn onto the street.

The eastbound driver also crashed into an apartment complex.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital with major injuries.

Alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the crash.

The accident is under investigation.
