Sheriff's officials said the man was crossing the road when he was hit by a northbound vehicle driven by a 27-year-old Redwood City man and another vehicle, whose driver fled from the scene

San Carlos, Calif. – A Redwood City man aged 69 died when he was struck by two vehicles in San Carlos on Sunday morning.
According to a report by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened in the 1400 block of El Camino Real at about 6:57 a.m. December 24.
The sheriff's officials said the man was crossing the road when he was hit by a northbound vehicle driven by a 27-year-old Redwood City man and another vehicle, whose driver fled from the scene.
Despite receiving CPR from paramedics, the pedestrian died at the scene.
Police later located the driver who fled from the scene. The suspect, identified as Hok Gwan Jong, 66, of San Mateo, was arrested near Harris Avenue and Adams Street in Redwood City.
Jong was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of hit-and-run.
The accident is under investigation.
