Authorities said two vehicles collided head-on on West Main Street nearly a mile west of Bonita School Road

Santa Maria, Calif. – One person was killed in a head-on collision in Santa Maria early Monday morning, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The wreck happened on West Main Street nearly one mile west of Bonita School Road at about 1:38 a.m.
Authorities said two vehicles collided head-on.
Both drivers had to be pulled out of the wreckage.
One of the motorists died at the scene while the other was hospitalized with minor injuries.
No further details were available.
The fatal Santa Maria accident is under investigation.
