, Calif. – At least one person was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle traffic collision on Highway 108 in Sonora Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at about 11:49 a.m. Highway 108 near Upper Mono Way.

As per the CHP, a black Ford Explore, a Gray Ford Expedition and a white Platinum F-150 pickup .

Initial investigation revealed that the driver of Platinum stopped to get a trash can and caused the other vehicles to collide.

One person sustained severe injuries to their legs.
