Pedestrian Killed in Crash on 40 Freeway at Five Mile Road in Needles Identified

Needles, Calif. – The Coroner's Office has identified Amy Lee Arsenault, 34, of Chico as a pedestrian killed in the Needles Crash Tuesday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly auto-pedestrian accident happened at around 7:16 p.m. on December 26 on east of Five Mile Road.

Arsenault was pronounced dead at the crash site.

An investigation is ongoing.

Needles, Calif. – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday evening in Needles, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported at around 7:16 p.m. on Highway 40.

A vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area for reasons not yet established.

The victim was declared dead at the crash site.

The identity of the deceased was upheld pending notification of the next of kin.
