Michael Kindberg Injured in Sonora Crash on Highway 108

Sonora, Calif. – 61-year-old Michael Kindberg, of Hilmar, was among three drivers injured in multi-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon in Sonora.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 108, nearly half a mile west of Hess Avenue at around noon on December 26.

A Ford Explorer driven by 23-year-old Joshua Engle, of Modesto, a Ford Expedition driven by 70-year-old Sherri Lee, of Sonora, and a Ford 150 driven by Kindberg, were involved in the crash.

Engle was airlifted to a hospital in Modesto with major injuries.

Lee was taken to Adventist Health Sonora with minor to moderate injuries.

Kindberg had minor injuries but was not transported.

A portion of Highway 108 was closed as authorities worked to clear the scene.

The CHP is investigating the accident.
