Sergio Rubio Killed in Los Angeles Car Crash at 82nd Street and Compton Avenue

Los Angeles, Calif. – 34-year-old Sergio Bernal Rubio has been identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner's office as the man who died in a fiery car crash in the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area of Los Angeles on Monday night.

The crash happened around 10:41 p.m. at 82nd Street and Compton Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two cars were involved in the crash. One of the cars caught fire after the collision.

Rubio was killed in the accident.

Three other people were critically injured in the accident and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Additional information about the accident was not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
