John Guthrie and Eugene Royer Injured in Chelan County Car Crash on Highway 2

, Wash. – John L. Guthrie, 95, of Dryden, Eugene W. Royer, 65, of Leaverworth, and a third person were hospitalized after being involved in a car crash on Thursday morning in Chelan County.

The collision happened around 9:30 a.m. on U.S. at Alice Avenue, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Guthrie reportedly made a left turn onto Alice Avenue in front of a second car causing a near head-on collision.

Guthrie was hospitalized with minor injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle and Royer, who was a passenger in that vehicle, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Guthrie was arrested for causing the accident.

More details on the crash were not provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
