Four people were killed in head-on collision on Highway 14 near Horse Canyon Road in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, Calif. – Four people were killed in a head-on collision in the Mojave area of Kern County on Friday night.
At around 8:41 p.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a car crash on Highway 14 near Horse Canyon Road.
A Mercedes was traveling south on the highway when it drifted into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a Jeep.
The 61-year-old driver of the Mercedes and a passenger were killed in the accident.
The 27-year-old driver of the Jeep and a 27-year-old passenger were also killed in the accident.
A 24-year-old passenger in the Jeep suffered serious injuries and was taken to Antelope Valley Medical Center.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
