Fairfield, Calif. – One person sustained major injuries in a crash early Monday morning in Fairfield, according to the Fairfield Fire Department.
The collision took place on Interstate 80 west of Red Top Road.
A Hyundai Sonata and a tractor-trailer were involved in the incident.
The tractor-trailer had moderate front-end damage while the Hyundai had major damage to its side.
The driver of the Hyundai was extricated and was transported to hospital with moderate injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash is under investigation.
