Deleon was walking across the intersection of Washington Avenue and Lincoln Avenue and was struck by a Toyota Camry
El Cajon, Calif. – 30-year-old Edien Deleon has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in El Cajon on December 21.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened at Washington Avenue and Lincoln Avenue at around 10:34 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Deleon was walking across the intersection and was struck by a Toyota Camry.
Deleon died at the accident scene.
The driver of the Camry stayed at the accident and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
