The unidentified trooper was transported to Banner-University Medical Center in critical condition but stable condition

Phoenix, Ariz. – An on-duty Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 10 in Phoenix Tuesday evening.
According to a police report, the wreck happened at around 5:45 p.m. on the westbound side of Interstate 10 near 35th Avenue.
The trooper's motorcycle collided with a sedan on the freeway for reasons not yet established.
The unidentified trooper was transported to Banner-University Medical Center in critical condition but stable condition.
The driver was not injured.
Multiple westbound lanes were closed for nearly four hours and were reopened just before 9:30 p.m.
No further details regarding the wreck were available.
The crash remains under investigation.
