Phoenix, Ariz. – A female was struck and killed by a car at an intersection in West Phoenix Wednesday morning, the police said.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the deadly auto-pedestrian wreck happened at around 6 a.m. on 67th and Clarendon avenues just south of Indian School Road.
Authorities arrived at the scene and located a pickup truck with major front-end damage and was believed to have hit a woman who was lying in the middle of the road.
The woman was pronounced dead at the crash site.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
Motorists were advised to use alternative routes.
No more details about the wreck were provided.
