Los Angeles, Calif. – Authorities have identified One-year-old Hanna Sofia Cortes Bernal and Issac Jordan Kahari, 22, as victims severely hurt in a triple fatal crash in Los Angeles.
Bernal, whose birthday is next week, remains hospitalized but was showing signs of improvement, police said.
Kahari also remains hospitalized and is facing possible murder or gross vehicular manslaughter charges.

Los Angeles, Calif. – According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a third family member succumbed to injuries from injuries suffered in a traffic collision on New Year's Eve. Police say the deadly crash was caused by a driver fleeing from an earlier hit-and-run crash.
Two other family members, a father and a 5-year-old daughter, were killed in the late Sunday night crash. The father was pronounced dead at the scene while the daughter died at the hospital.
A 1-year-old girl remained hospitalized but has shown signs of improvement. The girl is expected to turn 2 next week.

Los Angeles, Calif. – A father and his daughter died in a collision that left the mother and a toddler severely injured on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident was reported around 11:20 p.m., on Normandie Avenue near 60th Place.
An SUV driver was fleeing the scene of an earlier crash when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign at the intersection and crashed into a small sedan occupied by a family of four that was travelling south on Normandie Avenue.
The impact of the crash pushed the sedan into a street sign and a fence on the southwest corner of the intersection.
Good Samaritans rushed to help extricate the victims from the smoking sedan.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the crash and pronounced a man dead at the scene.
A 5-year-old daughter succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival at the hospital.
The mother and a 2-year-old daughter were hospitalized in critical condition.
The SUV driver, a 22-year-old, was also taken to hospital with major but non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say the SUV driver is likely to face charges of murder/gross vehicular manslaughter.
The crash remains under investigation.
