Police said a driver from an earlier hit-and-run collision ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a sedan carrying a family of four

Los Angeles, Calif. – Jose Manuel Pasgagasa, 49, was one of the three people who died following a crash on Sunday night in the Harvard Park area of Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The accident happened at about 11:20 p.m. December 31, in the area of 60th Place and Normandie Avenue.
Police said a driver from an earlier hit-and-run collision ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a sedan carrying a family of four.
The sedan was pushed off the side of the road and it came to a rest outside a business.
The father, identified as Jose Pasgagasa, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His wife, Luisa Arenas, 26, was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased on Tuesday.
Their 5-year-old daughter Mia Pasgagasa, also died at a hospital.
The family's 1-year-old daughter, Hanna Sofia Cortes Bernal, remains hospitalized.
The hit-and-run motorist, identified as Issac Jordan Kahari, 22, was hospitalized with serious injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police said Kahari faces charges of gross vehicular manslaughter or murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
