Luisa Arenas Dies in Los Angeles Collision on 60th Place and Normandie Avenue

, Calif. – Luisa Arenas, 26, has been identified as one of the three family members who were killed in a Sunday night crash in the Harvard Park neighborhood, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The wreck happened at around 11:20 p.m. on December 31, at 60th Place and Normandie Avenue.

According to police, a driver believed to have been involved in an earlier hit-and-run collision failed to stop for a red light at the intersection and slammed into a sedan that was carrying a family of four.

The impact sent the sedan off the side of the roadway and it crashed through a fence into a business.

Arenas was one of the occupants of the sedan. She was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased on Tuesday.

Her husband, identified as Jose Manuel Pasgagasa, 49, died at the scene of the collision.

5-year-old Mia Pasgagasa was also in the sedan and died at a hospital.

Hanna Sofia Cortes Bernal, 1, was the fourth occupant of the sedan. She remains hospitalized.

The driver who ran the light, Issac Jordan Kahari, 22, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police said Kahari is believed to have been driving under the influence and faces charges of murder or gross vehicular manslaughter.

The crash is under investigation.
