Phoenix, Ariz. – Authorities are investigating a deadly auto-pedestrian accident on Thomas Road in West Phoenix Thursday morning.
According to a police report, the collision happened just before 5 a.m. on Thomas Road near 51st Avenue.
A pedestrian was struck while crossing the roadway by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
The victim sustained fatal injuries in the wreck.
Authorities said the identity of the deceased will be released pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
