Reportedly, a Toyota Corolla, operated by Selvy, was travelling northbound on Highway 101 when it crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a Chevy 2500 pulling a 26-foot trailer

Curry County, Ore. -19-year-old Josiah James Selvy of Port Orford was killed, Leslie Lewis Martin, 80, of Clearlake (WA) and her passenger were hurt in a crash on Highway 101 in Curry County Monday morning.
The Oregon State Police responded to the wreck at around 9:35 a.m. January 1 on State Route 101 near milepost 291.
Reportedly, a Toyota Corolla, operated by Selvy, was travelling northbound on Highway 101 when it crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a Chevy 2500 pulling a 26-foot trailer.
The driver of the Chevy, Martin, swerved to avoid the Toyota, however, was stopped by the guardrail. The Toyota was pushed back into the southbound lane where it stopped.
Selvy was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Martin and a passenger were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two dogs in the vehicle were taken to a local animal rescue for temporary care.
The roadway was impacted for about two and a half hours.
No more information about the crash was provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
