A driver in a Porsche SUV reportedly failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and broadsided the deputies heading east on Main Street

Stockton, Calif. – Two San Joaquin County Sheriff's deputies were injured in a crash that took place in east Stockton on Saturday evening, according to the sheriff's office.
The incident occurred in the area of Main Street and Hinkley Avenue shortly before midnight on January 6.
A driver in a Porsche SUV reportedly failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and broadsided the deputies heading east on Main Street.
The two deputies were transported to hospital and one of them had a broken collar bone.
It's unclear whether there were other injuries in the incident.
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
